‘‘It wasn’t a difficult decision at all, it was very easy. The cars have a certain quality. They compete favorably with the imported ones. They are also cheaper and there’s local availability of parts and expertise to fix them if there are any problems,” the vice president stated at a ceremony to hand over the vehicles.
Kantanka is a Ghanaian automobile company with three brands of the Kantanka Vehicles already out on the market. the K71, Omama and Onantefuor.
Many ‘‘Buy Ghana’‘ campaigners have often challenged especially government agencies to patronise Ghana made products and initiative in order to help them grow.
As Ghana enters the political season where politicians travel all over the country, campaigners have tasked them to acquire some of these cars which are tailored for local conditions. The leading opposition New Patriotic Party’s candidate in the November polls has also promised to buy some Kantanka brands for the party’s campaign.
